Rush

So why should you rush Phi Sigma Pi? Because we are different from any other Fraternity or Sorority out there.  We are a National coed Honors Fraternity that is based on a Tripod Scholarship, Leadership and Fellowship.  We are not just an Honors Society, a Service Organization, or a Social Fraternity, but all three!  Phi Sigma Pi is a place we brotherhood is the pursuit and encouragement of the Tripod.

Smoker is just a fancy word for formal rush event.  These events are for anyone interested or invited to get to know more about the fraternity.  These events are like huge parties where no one is left out! At these events you'll get to meet the brothers and other students who are interested in joining Phi Sigma Pi. It's a blast filled with games, activities, and every college student's favorite... free food!

For those who feel that Phi Sigma Pi is an almost definite choice for them, this step is a more formal perspective to get to know more personal things about their future brothers. Soon after the preference part, chosen prospectives will recieve a bid.

Shortly after the preference party all prospective pledges who attended will be informed of weather or not they will receive a bid or will not.  If a prospective does get a bid they will then proceed into the pledging process and hopefully become a great brother of Phi Sigma Pi.

Bids are a symbol of the brotherhoods' confidence in prospective initiates and are hand delivered to those who the entire brotherhood feel are potentially wonderful brothers.

The brothers of Phi Sigma Pi will promote events for the the initiates thoughout the entire pledging process. Events include but not limited to: Uncle Charlie’s Night, Olive Garden Night, Snow Tubing, initiate/brother Scavenger Hunts, and other activities are all an important part of promoting brother/initiate relationships and having a blast all at the same time!
